The role of scientific research and its applications emerges in a realistic and tangible way in enhancing food security and ensuring comprehensive development in a realistic and tangible manner and ensuring the achievement of comprehensive development, and contributing to the exploitation and sustainability of these resources. This Centre strives to search for mechanisms of sicentific cooperation with institutions to develop its scientific contribution through various activities, as well as training and qualification of his technical and teaching cadres.
The Remote Sensing Research Unit was established in 2005 in the Natural Resource Research Centre in mid-2009 after four years of work by the Unit which focused on research in the use of remote sensing technologies and geographic information systems in investigating natural resources consisting of four research units ( Scientific sections) which are: -
- Water Resources
- Energy
- Remote Sensing
- Agricultural Research
